Round Rock Unable to Hold Early Lead, Falls To Cedar Ridge 4-3

  Round Rock lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Cedar Ridge on Tuesday April 4. Cedar Ridge trailed 3-2 in the top of the fifth inning when Ethan Ruiz singled off of Cameron Bush, driving in two runs. Jacob Mead earned the win for Cedar Ridge. He went six and a third innings, giving up three runs, five hits, and striking out six. Nick Oslovar threw one-third of an inning, as two relievers helped Cedar Ridge finish off the victory. Dragons Move to 4-0 in District with 8-5 win over Pflugerville

The Dragons took advantage of seven Pflugerville errors, leading to eight unearned runs in front of the biggest crown of the year on Dragon Scales night. Pflugerville took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning but the Dragons came back with three runs in the bottom of the first. Round Rock Beats Pflugerville Behind Miller’s No-Hitter

Grant Miller didn’t allow a single hit as Round Rock defeated Pflugerville 8-0 on Thursday. To get the final out Miller induced a groundout from Preston Ludwick. The Dragons opened the scoring in the fourth as Miller doubled, then courtesy runner Luke Malone scored on a Tyler Pettit base hit. Round Rock Falls in Back-And-Forth Affair Against Anderson

Round Rock and Anderson passed the lead back-and-forth on Wednesday, but eventually Anderson prevailed 6-5 in nine innings. Round Rock took the lead for good in the seventh inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Stony Point by a 5-4 score on Wednesday March 15. The game was tied at four with Round Rock batting in the top of the seventh when Kyle Hawkins singled home the go-ahead run off the Tigers closer. Round Rock opened the scoring in the second inning as pitcher Grant Miller led off with an infield single and stole second. After Tyler Pettit walked, Miller scored on an error by the pitcher, advancing Pettit to third. With two outs the runner at second Jake Miller baited the catcher into a pickoff attempt, scoring Pettit. After the Tigers cut the lead to 2-1 on a solo homer in the fourth, the Dragons got the run back after Pettit was hit by a pitch.
