Dragons Knock Off Hendrickson 7-3 The Round Rock Dragons took the nightcap Friday night 7-3, giving the Dragons a 2-1 series win over the Hawks. Hendrickson opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first and led until the Dragons took the lead for good, scoring four runs in the in the bottom of the fourth. The big blow for the Dragons was a two-run homer by Jared McKenzie. Bush Throws Shutout to Even Series With Hendrickson Cameron Bush shut down Hendrickson, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Round Rock Dragons Varsity to a 1-0 victory on Friday night. The win evened the District 13-6A series at one apiece. Bush scattered four hits over seven innings while striking out four and walking none. Schedule Change for all Levels

All games on Tuesday March 27 have been rescheduled due to expected weather changes and the possibility of rain in the forecast for Tuesday, Wednesday, and possibly Thursday.  All District games at all campuses are being moved to Monday at the original site.  Please make plans accordingly. Varsity will play @ Cedar Ridge at 7 pm. JV White vs Cedar Ridge at 5:30 pm at Dragon Diamond JV Maroon vs Cedar Ridge at 7:45 at Dragon Diamond. Hope to see everyone out on Monday night to support all of these teams.

Dragons to Battle Hendrickson with Trip to Dell Diamond at Stake

The Round Rock Dragons advanced to their fourth Regional Final and first since 2003 after a 2-Game sweep of Rockwall Heath. Standing in the way of a trip to Dell Diamond are their 13-6A rivals, the Hendrickson Hawks. The two teams split their district matchups, with Hendrickson winning 4-2 at Dragon Diamond, and the Dragons winning 17-2 at Hendrickson. The Hawks earned the #1 playoff seed by knocking the Dragons off 4-2 in a seeding playoff at Stony Point.   Round Rock jumped on #1 ranked Rockwall-Heath with six runs in the first inning and cruised to a 7-0 win. The shutout was the second of the night thanks to five innings from Luke Malone and two from Grant Hurn. Hurn induced a popup to second baseman Dalton Watss to end the game and advance to the fourth regional final in Round Rock Dragon history, and their first since 2003. Grant Miller threw his second no-hitter of the season, giving the Dragons a 3-0 Game 1 win over #1 ranked Rockwall-Heath 3-0 on Friday. Miller induced the final out on a ground ball to second baseman Dalton Watts. The Dragons opened the scoring in the third, with one out Mitch Herring singled for the first Dragon baserunner, then advanced to third on Jordan Williams’s double to left field.
